Continuing a Beloved Tradition
For many years, Norm and Lexy Stephenson have been generously hosting an annual Christmas dinner for the Montrose community. This beloved tradition provides a warm and delicious meal to elderly residents and those who may be homebound during the holidays. It’s a beautiful way to spread joy and foster a sense of community among individuals who might otherwise the day alone.
However, due to unexpected circumstances, the Christmas meal program was discontinued in 2023.
On a brighter note, the Montrose Community Dinners organization has been serving free Thanksgiving dinners in the Montrose area for 30 years. They were excited to step in and take over the holiday dinner event starting in 2024, and they look forward to continuing this wonderful tradition for many more years to come.
